Team Health Care (THC), Clifton Gunderson's health care compliance and consulting practice, works exclusively with federal and state government agencies. THC specializes in providing compliance services in accordance with auditing standards, to ensure that Medicare- and Medicaid-enrolled providers receive only what they are entitled to under applicable laws and regulations. We also offer other consulting services, giving our clients the benefit of our extensive knowledge and experience to improve their programs.
THC has worked with Medicaid and Medicare programs since their inception. For over four decades, we have provided audit and consulting services to Medicaid and other state agencies in more than 25 states, as well as federal agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Inspector General.
Our compliance services include field audits, rate setting and cost settlements for nursing homes, hospitals, federally qualified health clinics, rural health clinics and intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded. Our consulting services include the development of inpatient and outpatient hospital payment systems, rebasing and recalculation services, and the development of strategies to maximize federal funding. In addition, we have ongoing engagements with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations for fraud investigations and litigation support.
