Sean Walker, Clifton Gunderson's Assistant Firmwide Public Sector Leader, works frequently with the Governmental Audit Quality Center of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and recently co-presented on Preparing for Your Single Audit: An Auditee Perspective. The webcast was primarily intended to help clients better understand the requirements of the Single Audit Act and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Nonprofit Organizations (Circular A-133), the various responsibilities placed on auditees, and tips for preparing for a single audit. Sean Walker has been serving public sector clients since 1999. Sean specializes in providing accounting, financial and performance auditing, and consulting to states, municipalities, utilities, counties, tribal governments, various non-profits, and educational institutions. Sean is also a member of the National Assurance Practice, overseeing public sector auditing. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining Clifton Gunderson's audit quality control requirements and serves as an unassociated reviewer for audits and attestation engagements relating to complex state and federal programs. Prior to practicing in public accounting, he worked for an international manufacturer as a management level corporate accountant.
